United Club Lounge: Bonus sign-up link

Today I'm going to share our United lounge experience. Our direct flight to Toronto was canceled and the only alternate flight we had, had a stopover in Chicago.

Fortunately, Chicago airport has a United lounge. If you are a United Explorer card member, you get: 

1. Upto 70k miles on signup (We have booked flights for as low as 12.5k miles one way)

2. 2 united club one-time passes yearly.

3. One Free checked bag.

4. $100 Global entry/TSA precheck fee credit.

5. Priority boarding

6. 2x miles on dining and hotel stays

7. No foreign transaction fee.

8. And more (or less!)

Annual Fee = Free for the first year, $95 yearly starting the second year (Still worth it!)

In just one flight a year, you would be able to recoup it.

3. Priority Boarding

You need to scan your united club passes and your boarding pass at the united club reception. Please note: you should be on a united flight to use the pass. The club has comfy couches, and amazing food, including scrambled eggs, tacos, juices, muffins, bagels, coffee, high-speed WIFI, and a BAR! all Free!!! Yes, that's a saving of $30 if you're eating elsewhere at the terminal.

I did buy this ticket using my united miles.. for my wife and me ($1200 value). I'll add more details on this soon.

Also, since I booked this with miles, I was able to reschedule this flight TWICE, with no fee, and fortunately, there was no mile change (similar fare change). Customer service is exceptional.
